Fall Kid’s Craft: Paper Plate Owl

Do you have an endless amount of construction paper, markers, pom-poms, and glue? If you’re anything like us, you have an entire area dedicated to the staple items used to make kid’s crafts.

Today, we decided to make an owl using fall colors.

Here are the supplies you’ll need:

  • Orange construction paper
  • Yellow construction paper
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Paper plates
  • Pom poms

To create the chest of the owl, alternate marker colors by creating squiggly lines in the center of the paper plate.

Fold the sides inward and the top down to form the shape of the owl.

Glue the top and sides down with a glue stick.

Decorate the top and sides of the owl with markers once the glue has dried.

Cut out two feet from orange construction paper.

Glue the feet on the bottom of the owl.

Cut out the beak using yellow construction paper.

Glue the beak to the top of the owl.

Glue the pom-poms in place for the eyes. Use a marker to create the center of the eye.

And here’s the finished craft . . . a fall owl!
